This group is for anyone born in 1962. I wanted a key idea for a group, and sharing a birth year, or indeed a birth day, seems to offer a strong connection to me. You'll find open threads to which I contribute whenever something interesting comes along: "BBC on This Day, I love 1962, Births, Marriages and Deaths in 1962, Chess Broadcasts, 1962 in Fashion... in Literature... in Music... in Sport.... in Television....in Film... in Chess... in Comics... " My own focus will mainly be British but worldwide contributions from other members will be much appreciated :) We play tournaments within the group, but as yet no team matches.
