Chess960 is not as random as it could be.
- The position is known before the tournament starts.
- The position is the same for all games.
- The position remains the same for all rounds in a multi-round tournament.
Opinion:
- Chess960 decreases the pool of possible registrants.
- I suggest it would be more difficult to recruit registrants.
- Most invitations to a Chess960 tournament may be fruitless.
