Karpov has a winning position and surely won. I looked and found the game in my Mega Database 2015 with some annotations. Who is "D. King" who offered the annotations? They are well done.

All: Per an excellent suggestion, I have posted Game 9 of the 1984 WCC match between Karpov and Kasparov. ( #77 in the Mammoth Book of the World's Greatest Chess Games ). I'll look to see if there is a way to post these pgn's without notation so that we have a opportunity to guess the next move without seeing it.
