after 2. e5 you should play c5, Nc6 just blocks the c-pawn and you go into an inferior french with a slower c7-c5 also without you having played e6 earlier you could have played Bf5 on move 3 getting the bishop out first

and what is Bxc6 you need to playbxc6 it looks horrible blocking the lsb but the point is to play c5 twice and wreck white's center common idea in french lines where white plays terribly and trades his strong lsb for your knight on c6 usually it's in advance structures where black has played c7-c5 and Nc6 after to pressure d4 when after the trade on c6 you have pawns on c5 and c6 and you trade on d4 and push c5 again

the Scandinavian is a dominate opening for black especially at the sub 1500 level. At your level if you learned it you would kill your opponents

I play the French but I also play the Scandinavian lol

the french is the best response to 1.e4 in terms of when you factor in learning, soundness, strategy, positional play, and tactical play.
