2012 Round 1 Group B

Here are the pairings for Group B.

Under match name you will find the requested match name to use for this tournament.  The 1st team listed issues the challenge to the 2nd team listed.  The challenge date and lock date columns are the dates the challenge should be issued and match locked so that the tournament can be finished on time.  Teams are expected to give a little leeway on these dates if requested by the other team.  Teams which fail to issue the challenge and/or lock the match after being contacted by their opponent or the TD may be forfeited at the TD's discretion.  If the teams are not able to agree on a lock date/time, the TD will set a specific deadline on request.

Matches should be set for 5+ players, open ratings, 2 simultaneous games.  If a team cannot reach 5 members (we hope this does not happen) then the other team has the option to lock the match with fewer players, or claim a forfeit.

I received a message from Woodthumper that Good ole Canadian Boys & world players will need to withdraw due to lack of player participation.  Their matches can be cancelled or allowed to start and not be scored, at the discretion of the admins involved.

The teams in this section will just have two matches each count instead of three.

Thanks for the links, they really helped a lot!  The 3 teams all go 1-1, and the game scores evened out making this section very close.  nicu57 & friends win the section on tiebreaks and will advance to round 2.  Quick Moves and Gambit Fans, there are wildcard slots as well but don't know who gets them yet, we'll see what happens in the other sections.

Well Nicu won 2 of 2, My team won 1 of 2, and Gambit Fans won 0 of 2. Therefore, Nicu and Quick Moves would have to advance.

OK, thanks.  I got one of them backwards, was the challenge issued in reverse?  Normally it's challenger on left.
