I know that I'm pretty lost, and whether or not it is 'elegant' to let you take my Queen and King in one go, is a matter of taste.
But my understanding of the rules is that checkmate is no game ending condition in itself in same the way that it is in FIDE chess.
I checked the rues in a few places, and it is over when my King is taken (considering that I don't have a Prince).
