3 days between moves

For the tournaments that have a 3 day move timer - is it common for people to actually take the at least 2 days for every single move?

I'm in one that started on Oct 12, and it's like clockwork - my opponent moves, I move usually within a few hours - often within minutes as I have am using a fair amount of conditional moves, then a minimum of 2 days later my opponent moves.  Rinse and repeat.   It's kind of frustrating when my opponent has a forced move and they still take all that time.

Any ideas on how to just mentally accept this? wink.png

Some people like me only move so they don't time out. They don't move in all of their games. Just set the time to 2 days to make things easier.

@ArchonSeverus Why not play 1 day per move? some people are just too lazy or enjoying their time playing 3 days per move with no sense of urgency. happy.png

But wait. He can't decide what the time control is in tournaments. The TD decides.
