4 New Custom Positions for 4PC

Recently I'm going through my game archive, and I've found several interesting custom positions I played back to February. In fact, none of them are authored by me (credit goes to @qilip), but I want them to be added as presets. Here are 4 of them which I enjoy most.

The first one is known as '15 Puzzle', which should be played as FFA, bullet 1|2, 3-check, KoTH, 14th=K:

The second one is a slightly different version of 'War for Throne', with FFA / Teams, Blitz 2|5, 5-check, KoTH, 4th=K settings:

The third one is a brand new position, played with FFA, Blitz 1|5, KoTH, Capt. the King settings:

do we have names?

1.  15 Puzzle

2. War for DMZ (not really.. no good ideas here..).

3. looks like a symetrical labyrinth. or some pacman like game. a good name might include a reference to capture the king (if that rule has significant impact on how to play this)

4. Sidestep  (no idea, just some random word that came to my mind)

anyone with ideas please share, the author get's the final word on what to call his creations

I have some excellent names for those positions!

Please choose them to be the official names. 

1. TicTacToe 

2. War for Throne II

3. Either Hunger Games or Maze Runner

4. Battlefield

There is already War For Throne, therefore I call it War For Throne II. You can relate this to World War I and World War II! 

I feel that 15 puzzle might be a dull name for position #1 which seems to deserve more. 

I prefer to call it TicTacToe

Probably... But this position existed as a preset called '15 Puzzle' in February (or March?).

Yeah I know @quilip used to make custom positions. 

But I think he could have used some better names.

though of war for throne II  too which is fine. the thone got bigger. maybe war for dragonstone? war for necropolis?

oh i once had 'Spoonfeed' which was royal antichess (which we abondended, but it was awesome imo, antichess + checks/mates/royal kings)

i think spoonfeed is a great name for an antichess game

btt l-l you like any of the suggestions for you creations. maze sounds good. not sure why runner. hunger games is a good name but not sure why for this part. position

battlefield is fine but bit lame/generic

minesweeper? ( i'd go the other way around, and create  a position that deserves to be called minesweeper )

I suppose Battlefield is a bit lame. How about Arena Kings. In fact #4 looks like an arena with the kings as spectators.

more games that don't exist yet that i'd like to play:

- Der Rosenkrieg / War of the Roses

- Pacman (btw it's possible to create 2 or 3 player games, with colored pieces of a dead player serving as bounties (don't move but give points). what missing is support for rated 3player games. you can host casual and fill dead player with a bot).  maybe (def better) we (I )  add a special pieces (like the wall) that are worth points and don't move...

Is this where we suggest 4pc variants?

You can share new positions in the forum and let other players take a look. If the positions are actually good, then the admins will probably add them.

Here are some variations I made. : ) They might require more testing and tweaking.

1) Soldiers and Knights or Four Realms or Risk

• Pawns promote to knights on the 11th rank
• Any FFA or teams (I haven't tested them all but I think they all work)

2) Smothered Kings

• Pawns promote to knights (I find that 9th rank promotion is best but it might also be 8th or 10th or else.)
• Again, I think any FFA or teams work
• Resignations are a problem in FFA - could be fixed be removing the "dead king walking" rule, but I am not sure how to do that.

3) Key to the Heart (or The Death Kiss?)

• KotH
• No promotion
• Teams (Maybe it could work in Solo as well but again, resignations. In this case removing dead king walking wouldn't help much.)
• My personal favorite
