4 Player Among Us Fog of War

An idea I have for a variant that would be a cross over between Chess and Among Us is a 4 Player Fog of War variant, in which each player is randomly assigned a role, Crewmate or Imposter.  At the start of the game there would be 3 crewmates and 1 imposter, with the crewmates not knowing who the imposter is.  The imposter would win when by eliminating all but 1 of the crewmates, while the crewmates would win by voting off the imposter.

The imposter could capture pieces, while the crewmates could not, and the way the imposter would kill a crewmate would be by capturing that crewmates king.  If a crewmate was to see dead pieces from another crewmate he/she could report the death of that player, and then the players could discuss in the chat who they think the imposter is and then vote off that player.  The army of the player that gets the most votes would be ejected from the board whether or not he/she is the imposter.  Players could also vote to skip in order to avoid throwing off an innocent crewmate.

For example

In this position yellow could see a dead green bishop, and red could see a dead green queen, bishop, and pawn, and so either red or yellow could report the death of green, and then the remaining players could discuss who they think the imposter is and vote off that player.

In the absence of seeing a piece from a dead player, a player would need to get a piece to the center of the board in order to call a meeting.

For example

In this position blue could call a meeting even though non of the players would be dead yet as the blue knight would be in the center of the board, however non of the other players could call a meeting as non of the other players would have pieces in the center of the board.  Blue could then tell the other players that he/she saw red take his/her pawn and so red must be the imposter.

After meetings the armies of all dead players would get removed from the board, including the army of any player that gets voted off.

During meetings all the players individual move clocks would be paused, and no moves could be played on the board.  Also it would only be during meetings that players could chat, and the chat would be muted outside of meetings.

Also while crewmates could not capture pieces they would see the board as if they could.

All other rules would be the same as in standard 4 player Fog of War.

Sorry this variant is unplayable thus it will never and should never be added. Although the concept is a great idea, it is extremely unplayable with the current setup (you would need to change the pieces, and even then it would be very hard to make it playable). For example take A is opposite C, and B is opposite D, going clockwise A, B, C, D. Imposter is A (for simplicity), imposter kills D, C finds D dead, and reports the death. Since C finds D dead, he can almost guarantee that A was the player that killed D. Simply because you cannot change the position of your army. Thus player B will also vote for A to be eliminated. Now lets assume that A can kill and immediately report the death of player D, then the game gets more interesting (ish), because now C knows A is the most likely suspect for the death of D (simply because he is opposite A). Given this C will vote A, and A will vote C, now B has to decide which side he is going to vote off, if he doesn't vote someone off, the game is most definitely over for B and C. Also rating calculations are fairly impossible, especially since, imposter A (red) can force the death of crew mate D (green). just thrust's his queen into the kings territory and green cannot defend himself thus getting "checkmated". And even more to the point. the imposter can force the death of the player going right after him, so long as he is not green!. So the odds of the crew mates voting off an imposter when they force the death of a player is 50%, Thus 50% of the games the imposter can win by chance, and green is almost certainly always lost if they are a crew mate (negative rating).

How would you be able to get out of check or recapture pieces if you can’t capture pieces as a crewmate?
