I think it is possible to create a database query to check if the winner used castling or not. Will try when I have time.

wheres85

just mated 2 people in 1 move yesterday with a rook. 1st time ever doing that

From another thread:

An average FFA game is 21 minutes. Teams: 7 minutes.

The longest game is 75 min for FFA and 60 min for Teams.

Given that the ending in FFA is literally three times more to accomplish than in teams, this is actually surprising in the reverse sense. In FFA three people need to be checkmated (leaving aside resignations). In teams, one.

On average an FFA game is exactly three times as long as a Teams game according to those statistics. The 60-minute Teams game was just exceptionally long.

I have a file that you could use to calculate that. I'm not quite good enough to auto calculate it.

Thanks. Can you also query how many of those games resulted in a win and how many resulted in a loss? (To have some indication of which moves are best.)

If we could search games by openings that would be a lot of fun! Like insert certain moves in analysis board and then "find games with this position" for example.

@-_-__-__-___- And for Teams?

Yeah, an opening explorer / database would be nice.

we only store raw pgn4 which includes timestamps and clock times. for an opening explorer, the pgn would need to be broken down and the moves stored appopriately for such queries. i won't be doing that anytime soon. however, if someone else would like to offer such a service, i can supply the pgn for all games.
