I'd be crying too if I was still 1800 after almost 3000 FFA games. 
For FFA games, the new setup is boring. It's always the same openings, the same defense. It may be more balanced, but it is B.O.R.I.N.G., not fun to play, no creativity. The way the games was set before was strong, with multiple openings, variations, etc...
Now, whether you are rated 1200 or 3000, you play the same opening, the same defense, every single game. That setting has no future. Any chess player playing at this for the first time will soon find this game as boring as it gets.
I still want to point one good thing though : the self partner feature. This was the only strong feature added in that merge.
Everything else was rubbish: from the new lamomatrix setting, the disparity in the search, where by having so many settings option, cannot find anything anymore, the reduction of ease in setting a game, etc... The list is so long, it's just ridiculous. I just hope a new website will take over and start where they left us hanging at that point. Weeks later, I still don't know how to set up an "Old standard" game, aka "the way the game should be played". It used to be possible with the templates, but not anymore.
@Magicsteph, setting up an Old Standard game is surprisingly easy, it's getting people to join that's the hard part.
If you're in the Main Lobby, click the Back button to go "Home", and just go into the Old Standard lobby to create games.
Well... I am not streaming because @LosChessquire did not mention me in his list of favourite 4PC Streamers. So, Los, watch the grass grow for entertainment. No 4PC stream for you!
