how do you win in 4pc teams, if your teamate doesnt listen, if your teamate doesnt know how to play or they just try to annoy you by ignoring you how do you win?

Rafael0310

What

Green_Sleeves

You can’t. The only way to win in Teams is teamwork, and you need to have a good teammate. If you play and find a teammate you like, send him a friend request so you can play with him again.

you could also take a look at the club https://www.chess.com/club/4pc-teams. I find adding people you like playing with as friends, or using a rating limit the most practical solution. Partners should also have the opportunity to double check suggested moves, sometimes we underestimate the value in that.

I’ll help you guys above out, how to win:

0.

Okay but for real, I’m not gonna make this a troll thread, @Green_Sleeves points out correctly that inviting a teammate that you trust is the best way to be able to win, otherwise you are essentially flipping a coin

In teams effective communication should be put above all else.
However, I think the original questioner is asking about whether there are any general tips to follow to play 4pc teams effectively, other than to invite a teammate. For example, tactics, strategy......

IHOPpancakes

Yeah, finding an online friend to invite into a team is best imo.

Usually, I don't play with random people w/ teams that often because I fear I'll blunder and my teammate will bite my head off nervous

Surely not!
I mean, the more you play with someone the more you can get together with them and learn......

if you want tactics then I suggest you search up "RatingCrisis" (my old account) in the forums which will hopefully lead you to some of the posts I made about teams strategies. I'm just too lazy to copy + paste them here lol

if you want to find better teammates you can join @Green_Sleeves's 4PC Teams Club or you can join the 4PC Discord (https://discord.gg/8hdtvjg4pC), and try to become more active in the community by watching high-rated games where a lot of spectators are, maybe one day you can ask them to play a couple games with you

thanks, I'm in
