I think there should be different variants for 4 player chess.

it's still very new and being probably worked on for improvements considering not even 2 months old I think.

They're probably loving the suggestions flowing their way though.

Once the game is popular enough with thousands of players online most of the time. They will probably make more variations

The only variant that would work is 960.

I prefer every man for himself in 4 player chess.

I'd love to see 960 though, that sounds properly chaotic

I have personally a three and four player board and the 960 games are great.

The ultimate chaos would be letting players alternate choosing the starting positions for all their first rank pieces

3check would be crazy, but fun.

Triple check = win? Also king of the hill would be rad.

At this point I don't know that we'll see the player base needed to make variants... but it would be fun! Teams first, then different time controls, then variants if the base grows significantly.

Every man for himself is so much better in 4 player chess.
