Welcome to the Multi-Variants Knockout!
This event is organized by Da Best Club to celebrate our chess club reaching 60 members!
Our Event is very special, because it is our first tournament combining all chess variants and it's not about only one variant! Here, you will have to show your skills in different game modes across the rounds!
This tournament is exclusively for members of the club Da Best Club.
Round Format
This a Knockout Tournament: this means only the winners in each round get to the next round. Let's look at how a round looks like:
Match Format
For every round, the players get paired with exactly one participant to play 2 Blitz Games with time control 3|2
One game with the White pieces and one game with the Black pieces
The game mode is decided by the players when registering (more information in the section How to: Register) and the players play one game in the mode decided by Player A and one game in the mode decided by Player B
In case of a tie, the players should play again two games, just like the 2 first one. In case of another tie, play like this until there is a decided winner
The players have 5 days (from Monday to Friday) to decide on a time to play
The players have 7 days (from Monday to Sunday) to play their games
The result of the games + the game links should be sent to @PGT5665, or @PGT_5665
Deciding on a time to play
The players should agree on a time to play in private messages on chess.com (think about the different time zones!)
In case your opponent does not reply or forfeits, you can claim the win on Saturday/Sunday (message @PGT5665 or @PGT_5665)
If you can't agree with your opponent on a time to play, please message @PGT5665 or @PGT_5665 with your timezones (for example UTC+1) and the timezone of your opponent.
