8 min timer

Add 8 min to timers. I think 8+1 would be a great time control for many to play in rapid. For those who like 8/0 and 10/0 this would be a great addition it would be good to have a popular no flagging option. So i am requesting to add 8min as an option in timers.

You actually can do that

go to analysis, scroll down and see the part where it looks like code, read the code as you would in English, and choose your timer, (eg. 8 min for 8 minutes no increment, 8 | 1 for that time control you want

8 min is rapid, 5 min is blitz

The chess.com does not handle timer correctly.
For example, 15s|1s is hyper but 1min is bullet. 1 min is way faster than 15s|1s

i agree even if chess .com does not do time correct it is what they choose

8 min is not rapid, even 3+2 more like a rapid then 8 min+0

I agree. 8/0 should not be rapid. 8+1 should be the shortest rapid time control. This 1 sec increment makes a big difference to the game stopping flagging from working as a strategy meaning the game has to be won on the board rather than someones mouse or Internet speed.

what's the difference between 3|0, 3|1, and 3|2 anyways?
