8 pawns vs. 1 queen

It is still really rigged. How about white has a rook and 2 pawns. Rook on H2 and pawns one e,d file

you mean R=5 P=1 7V8 which is a little unfair. We could put the rook On the H file and the pawn on the E file since it stops a few moves

I tried on lichess using horde but black has to have a king so can anyone find a way to analyze the position?

I think the pawns should be white and the queen should be on e1 or d1
that way, black can block the attack of white and not lose a bunch of pawns at the very start.
tried this, it works way better. it's still basically a guaranteed win for white, so i added sideways pawn moves and it actually worked pretty well, I think it's balanced.

I think white should be able to win. 1. Qxh7 or Qxc7 and whenever black moves a pawn two spaces the queen can attack it. I feel that the queen is too fast and too powerful and black wont be able to promote in time. It might work if white couldn't take a pawn on move 1. Also, you'd need to make one of the pawns the royal piece for black, and any pawn would be easy to checkmate since pawns can only move forward, so the pawn would need guards but they'd be easy to take. And it would be worse if it was Capture The King, since the queen could just take the pawn even if it was guarded. I don't see a world where this works.

You don't have to have a royal piece as long as you don't have a king.
