not sure, but remember the bishops have to be on opposite coloured squares and 1 rook has to be either side of the king, if that helps the derivation (i assumed you were talking about chess 960?)

I don't know if it is just me missing something really obvious or not, but how do I derive 960? Can someone please explain how we get 960? Thank you.
