Every group keeps shutting it down though.

I don't recognise all the pieces or fully understand the game here. Wazir , i get. The 3 check king , i get. The king is neutered ( i guess ) , the other piece is that a archbishop? 
The rules are they all active ? Is it a team game?

All rules are active. That piece is a ferz, a king-wazir. No teams, FFA. Only the king with the 3 is a royal.

Yeah, I am very much down to give it a try. Just need 2 more people or just multi on it as I would like to test.
