A Note For The Admins

I’ve noticed lately that things in Code Neon have been pretty quiet, and it feels like the club’s lost a bit of the spark it used to have. We’ve got a lot of great members here, and it’s clear that people still care about keeping the community alive, but it’s getting harder to stay motivated when there isn’t much direction or activity coming from the top. I completely get that the admins have lives outside of Chess.com and can’t always be around — that’s totally understandable — but even a small update, a tournament, or just a message to check in would make a big difference. Right now, it kind of feels like we’re drifting without anyone steering the ship.

What’s frustrating is that the club still has so much potential. There are players who’d happily volunteer to organize matches, post puzzles, or keep the chat going if they just had a bit of encouragement or permission to do so. A little leadership goes a long way, and it’d be awesome to see the admins get involved again, even in small ways. Code Neon used to feel like a really active and connected community, and I think a lot of us miss that energy.

Hopefully, this doesn’t come across the wrong way — it’s not meant as criticism, just an honest thought from someone who really enjoys being part of this club. It’d be great to see the admins bring back that old spark and help guide things forward again. Code Neon deserves to be one of those clubs people are excited to check in on every day, not one that slowly fades away because no one’s keeping the light on.
Thanks,
