In the second century a.C. there came up a philosophical discussion about the sense of life and the right way of living. One one side were the Roman and Greek philosophers with their different concepts, and on the other hand the Christian theologists with their conviction that Jesus is the only answer to that question.
Honestly spoken, I feel some sympathy for the Philosophers, often sharp thinkers as for example the Roman writer Cicero. For those clear-minded men it must have been an “offense” to believe that someone has risen from the dead. Whenever you have heard such a silly thing, they may have asked or thought. That sounds like a lie or a ferry tale! Indeed, it is really not easy to believe in such a “Fact”. Your mind could strike if you try.
So, why could Christian theologists believe in such an absurde fact? Well, speaking for myself I only can say, that personal experiences brought me to believe in Christ. (http://deepwonderment.jimdo.com/ ) And therefore I could also believe his resurrection. And presumably the christian theologists had also made such personal experiences which gave them the power to believe.
Nevertheless I`m convinced that besides that personal experiences there are also good logical reasons and arguments for the righteousness of the christian faith. I will try to sum up them in this blog.
