A try at FFA

I am a big teams player, and only played FFA 2 times before today, but now i decided to try FFA for real and im going to list my FFA attempts i made today. And a challenge for you!

attempt 1 challenge: Find how red can win starting from turn 9, red to move.

Isn't this kind of a "look how good I am" "give me validation I desperately want" I am bragging forum?

No, i am just trying to see people's opinions and the challenges are for fun. I never expected any 

validation since i know i am not good at this gamemode.

in games 1 and 3 i had some serius luck strokes...

i only one managed to play slightly better is game 3, due to minimal learning.

if you can play teams well enough ffa should be easy to learn and you'll probably reach 2000+ really quickly

im a 1620 at teams and 1430 at ffa (if i remember correctly)

and im still losing 1/3 of my pieces before getting mated (except in game 3 which went lategame)

which is better than my 1st attempts when old standard was still around so plus?

since in those times i played 1 game then got right back to teams

1620 doesn't cut it...yet. I'd suggest you continue playing teams for now so you can develop a better understanding of aggressive/defense and tactical/positional play before switching into FFA which involves more of this

one thing left, i play part time chaturaji (always ffa chaturaji bc lack of options) and even if my rating there is trash(1350 or something) i can get sometimes a win. Does that count?

I’m a Teams player too! I also have played chaturaji a few times and managed a couple of wins. I tried ffa standard once or twice and didn’t care for it, but I may try again.

i never really played ffa but in two games i got 1546 or idk ive been off for awhile

i think you were born for playing ffa, 1546 in 2 matches is genius/speedrun play

xd not really bc ive gotten to 2108 in teams and 2405 in hyper ffa and teams

actually if you win your first game usually you're at around 1650 by then

no bc i was in a game with like 1900 and 1800s

so if you won you should've gotten more?
