A Wild Trompowsky Game with a Missed Queen Sacrifice and a Brilliant Move for Both Sides.
Wow I actually saw the queen sac :0 before reading the commentary...
That's pretty impressive. I think that like 9 times out of 10 i would not find a move like that unless this was puzzle rush. I think at this point in the game I was already a bit frazzled because my biggest weapon is knowledge of my openings, and I was in survival mode. I knew the position was good, but could get dangerous on the file fast. I was shocked to find the queen sac after the game though.

While playing through it I was looking at the undefended rook on d8, so I saw B×g6 to attack the rook and force a trade of rooks (I thought) then I calculated it out and found the sacrifice

That's exactly the right thinking. The big issue in the position was the weak back rank, and that was the key that I missed. I believe that I discounted a major tactic because of the complications, and I assumed the back rank could be fixed in time. Clearly I was wrong.
how is this a "wild" game?
If you have suggestions for how I could better analyze it I'm all ears. I thought it was wild because of the crazy tactics that could unfold (and the moves that did). These may seem rudimentary at the 2200 level, but I unfortunately am not there yet. Positionally I felt very solid throughout the game, but I did miss a few more basic tactical shots. Any help would be welcomed.
