what do you think about to replace knights with archbishops, bishops with chancellors and rooks with queens in XXL? add torpedo rule? this could sharpen the game from the first moves, enrich tactically and make it more dynamic

I was able to play the "Fog Of Hill" game, but it didn't work with my rules. I placed my king in the middle and was given the win, even though I put it on a square where my opponent could capture it. So according to my rules I should have lost.

combining rules doesn't change the behavior of the rules. Fog of war is like capture the king, there are no legal move restrictions for checks, pins etc. so you can move your king to a covered square, if if that's a koth square well gg.
Maybe Fog of hill can be improved by making a bigger board or other custom starting position for it. Next update you will be able to create any starting position.

Like 4PC ?
side effects?
Just one. In custom game with positions: Chaturaji, 4PC Autoclaim doesn't work. Example. I used "Claim win" (not Autoclaim!). But button was:
I think there is no autoclaim in casual games, but you can still claim/resign of course. After the game the analysis board indicates an autoclaim situation regardless if the game was casual. Could consider adding autoclaim in casual games, but it's not all that popular I think generally, more a necessity for serious games.
Hey, could there be more options for the piece images? Having half your pieces look like knights with different clothes on seems like a bad design choice to me. There is already some choice with regard to what the rooks look like, (chariots or ships), but could this be extended to other pieces?
Some places I’ve saw the knights r like combined w bishops. The chancellors r a rook w/ a knight head.
All these games except shogi were available for play between two players at https://jocly.com/#/about until Wednesday, 24 October 2018 when it was shut down due to confiscation of game server by attackers.
Recently that website got available again for play between two players although that I am not yet able to connect to the game servers to play two player strategy games with another person in that website.
Some work seems to be in progress by the website administrators, and I think that playing two player strategy games with another person in that website would be possible once when that work gets completed up.

I'd like to see a condensed board version, where its just the King, Queen, one Knight, one Rook, and pawns in front.
I would love to play an xxl game with a friend, but we would play it as a daily game and right now there is no option to have a chess variant game above 30 minutes, which is simply not enough time for XXL Chess.
I have played a lot of games of musketeer chess at www.jocly.com between June 2017 and October 2018 and it was among one of the most exciting chess variants that I had ever played
From my experience, the top 5 most interesting chess variants that can be implemented at www.chess.com are:
1. Musketeer Chess

2. Metamachy

3. Grand Chess

4. Wildebeest Chess

5. Shako

Apart from non-8×8 chess board and chess variants making use of fairy chess pieces, other chess variants that are good to consider to be implemented at www.chess.com with 8×8 chess board and orthodox chess pieces are:
(a) Kriegspiel (Opponent's moves and pieces are hidden and a player has to detect them. Only certain clues are given such as a player has moved, a piece is captured, a pawn has been promoted, a check has been given, an illegal move has been attempted, etc.)
(b) Balanced Marseillais (White makes one move, each player makes two moves after that, not sure if same piece can be moved twice or two different pieces should be used)
(c) Classic Marseillais (Each player makes two moves starting from the White's first pair of moves, not sure if same piece can be moved twice or two different pieces should be used)
(d) Extinction Chess (First player whoever loses either two knights or two bishops or two rooks or queen or king or eight pawns first loses this played game)
(e) Progressive (Italian, English, Scottish) (White makes one move, Black makes two moves, White makes three moves, Black makes four moves, etc., not sure if same piece can be moved again and again repeatedly or all different pieces should be used)
(f) Pocket Knight
(g) Balance Bishops
(h) Pocket Mutation Chess
This is just my input to the variants community at www.chess.com.
If time permits and software developer resources permit at www.chess.com then other chess variants in my list are:
(1) Ultima (2) Tandem Chess (3) Alice Chess (4) Chess with Different Armies (5) Hostage Chess (6) Omega Chess (7) Avalanche Chess (8) Anti-King Chess II (9) Janggi: Korean Chess (10) Quantum Chess (11) Berolina Chess (12) Ouk-Khmer (Hill's Variation): Cambodian Chess (13) Prechess
