I was a little late in posting this (life is busy), but here it is anyway. In this post I analyze one of the most famous immortal games ever, a flashy game of Rubinstein's where he stuns his opponent with an exchange sacrifice, a queen sacrifice, a full rook sacrifice, and then forces mate with all of his remaining pieces. It's a brilliant show of combinational understanding and will always be educational and fun to play over.

Hope you enjoy it, thanks for reading!

The game is an evidence that Akiba Rubinstein was not only a great strategist and not only presented very high technical skills (especially in rook endgames), but also was a brilliant tactician.

The game is considered as one of the "polish immortal games"; only Glucksberg-Najdorf seems to be a little bit more beautiful.
