Alliance vs. Engines Pt.2 endgame analysis (move 48)

After black responded 47...Ka3, here is the latest position on the board:

I find it hard to think of any meaningful moves for white...  Staying in place by making a rook move along the 1st rank seems like the only possibility, no?  To which black would respond with 48...Rf3.

It's possible our only chances in such a position should be found in a stalemate.

I do not know whether such plan could have a sense against  Engines that I have to expect well programmed to avoid such an occurrence.

We are confined to a completely passive stance, and black's winning continuation is obvious (even to us ) at this point, so I agree that it's the right time to resign.

Any objections?  I'll wait 24 hours before confirming with Jorg our resignation, unless I hear otherwise from teammates.

We got into a losing ending and lost. Can't beat the monster all the time.

I am announcing to Jorg that we're resigning this game.  In the next few days, I hope to run an analysis of this game on the current best engine out there, Houdini.  When I do, I'll share the results with the team.
