It's 600 because most of the accounts are people who played one game got bored and stopped playing. If u go to lichess you'll see the average much higher.

I am a 10-year-old girl, around 1800 USCF. I know my ratings are really underrated on chess.com because I don't play much. I don't take online chess seriously either.

Online ratings don't matter to reflect the real rating. I am very underrated online. This is how I know.
