Can you explain why you decided to take on e4, because that's where all of your problems started.
It's almost never a good move in these types of structures since it just hands black a nice space advantage on a silver platter.
Also after Bh3+, taking is the same as a draw offer as after Rxf3+ Kg2 Raf8 Re2 neither side can make much progress; However, giving him a bishop vs knight endgame with an ability to create a passed pawn by him is surely worse.

Thinking after Nxc3 Bxe7 Nxd1 Bxd8 Nxb2 Be7-a3 or something? Nice how white wins a piece at the very end of that… didn’t really consider it. Need to check the database more broadly I guess, practically every game played 8. Bxe7
#2 I play a lot of positions where I allow my knight to get kicked back and then try to exploit the center once something like dxe4 happens, and I tried that here, the idea doesn’t work so well unfortunately.
As for the Bh3+ thing, yeah, I misevaluated the endgame there and probably moved too fast… I discounted the passed pawn creation and missed Re2 after Kg2 Raf8, so I didn’t go for that line… maybe it was just a draw after all — I still haven’t used the engine to check all this out, after discussion here dies down I probably will to have a finite answer to my questions
Consider 11.f4?
Didn’t really cross my mind. I would probably have been concerned with …g5 there though, and a kingside attack. Probably would have evaluated that wrong since I don’t have a lot of experience with those types of positions. Other than g5 it looks really good though
