Very nice analysis!  I ignored an important part of this game and other good VC games when I forget or lose sight of our opening repertoire, ideas and tactical plans etc.  This game started back in the middle of October last year and just now ended, 7 months later.  Sure, that is the nature of all good VC programs like ours, but it is too easy for me to begin looking at time to move as an end of itself rather than the journey.  Much like today's puzzle, here today, gone tomorrow without any idea how the game started or what our initial thoughts where...

Thanks again for the analysis.  After seeing the finale, this game may have hinged on opening idea 5...f5.  I looked back at our comments and found missing info.  Apparently, someone commented and encouraged this move but those posts are missing.  You can easily follow the discussion and see obvious missing comments.  I wanted to know why we decided and then how it progressed.  Ironically, I offered a concern in the next move's post but soon forgot my concern! 

In hindsight, I think that early ...f5 was a mistake and we ended up in a worse position.  However, it may only be a mistake because we did not follow through with better positional play as the game (and other lines) indicate.  We lost some of our members during the middlegame and may have missed some opportunities to improve our position.  No doubt, we need many good minds to keep us on track and finding the best moves.  

It was definitely rewarding to go back over this game and our thinking.
