Thank you for this analysis!
I find that this game, and our game as black, which is even a symmetrical English, show that this opening has a ton of bite to it. These games show how positional the English can be, and that it is positional play that leads to tactical play, especially in advanced play.
The game where we have Black is still running but we won the game where we had the White pieces in a great attacking way. People who think that the English Opening is a quiet positional opening should watch this game closely. Personally I don't think that the b6/e6 system is most adapted to counter the English and of course there are more positional systems, but I was surprised myself that it went that fast.
Of course 17... a6 was a serious mistake by Black but even after 17... Kh8 18.Bb5 they are in big trouble. In my opinion they should have tried 11... h5 instead of 11... cxd4 where I suspect that they thought too much of their counter attack. I have a game with 11... h5 12.h4, analysed by Z. Ribli and won by Black, but he shows that White had better. It is in the comments, but I have shortened the analysis (and translated the comments to English - the original were in German).
Some of the lines are from Stockfish 13 or Dragon, but in fact up to move 17 most come of the research I did during the game.
