What to do when you encounter a rude opponent? Should you be rude back? Or do you let the board do the talking?
The following game took place in live chess. I had overlooked some great tactics by my opponent and by move 16 was in a lost position. Unfortunately he had to spoil it by posting rude comments and demanding that it was about time I resign.
How to respond? I disabled chat without replying, so as not to have to "listen" to him anymore and studied the position in detail. I was lost but his King was vulnerable. This would be my focus and my last ditch attempt. Check out what happened, because the moral of the story is - let your chess do the talking.
