“Anatomy of a Chess Player : Chess Ratings From Beginner to Expert

http://beginchess.com/2009/08/02/anatomy-of-a-chess-player-from-beginner-to-expert/

This article provides a short paragraph in frank terms of what a chess player may know or not know at all levels of play organized by rating.  Additionally, each rating "change" suggests a time period recommended for the necessary improvement.

There are also many interesting ideas on this site, but I am curious to your thoughts on these summaries of players "knowledge".

With the 10,00 plus hours spent in last 17 years, I should be an expert.  Was probably my best in 2005, with a few master wins in blitz.  Best rating was after first tournament in 2009, 2150 provisional. Now 1675.  It’s key to play consistently 1 to 2 games per week, otherwise start declining.  It’s also important not to play tactics trainer just looking for first move.  Need to calculate whole tactic before playing first move otherwise, decline rapidly in tactical ability.  Could solve ct-art in 2003. Now fail on the easy problems picking erroneous line, that back in 2003, couldn’t see why anyone would try that line.
