24. Nxc5 e2! forking the rooks and threatning Qxc5, all with checks.
21...Bb6 might be better. I was just caught up in the Ne3 idea at that point. I'll take a look at it.
Nice catch. Black has a draw at least. 24. Nxc5 Rxd1 25. Rxd1 e2 26. Re1 Qe3+ 27. Kh1 Qf3+ etc. Winning tries must entail 24...Qxc5 or 25...Qxc5 or 26...Qxc5+. I'll take a look tonight. Had a feeling Ne3 might be a dubious move. 21...Bb6 is looking better. Then Ne3 is a much stronger threat, but white of course get another move as well
This is a nice middlegame with lots of positions to analyze. I've annotaded it.
This was played OTB with time limits 2 hours for 40 moves and 1 hour for the rest of the game.
