Great idea!
Let's first decide on the format before talking about the times/dates
preferably weekends and VERY VERY late due to bad hotspot so like 11pm eastern?
***VERY VERY late due to bad sleep schedule
Nine people will qualify, the #1 player will receive a first-round bye, and the overall winner will be crowned the B&M “World” Champion
this is the most american statement I've heard
I'll join if the time is right i have a very limited schedule
sure should be 15+10
weekends yes
don't base your decision on this alone but preferably sunday bc i have a chess club on saturdays

this is the most american statement I've heard
True, but nobody said that only those living in the US can play
depends when this is going to take place as I'll be very busy with soccer which starts in 2 weeks but if it's before then, then anytime after 12 pm est on sunday or saturday works for me

*me who drinks coke every morning and sugar crashes from lots of chess and school*
We have tried in the past to hold a Beginners & Masters Candidates Tournament, similar to that by FIDE, but it sort of fell apart towards the end. Well now that our club is even larger and more active ( cough cough) than before, we will be holding a second Candidates Tournament. Nine people will qualify, the #1 player will receive a first-round bye, and the overall winner will be crowned the B&M “World” Champion and all the glory, acclaim, yada yada yada, that comes with this prestigious title. The first qualifying Rapid, Swiss tournament will be held this month. Let me know what times work best for y’all and we’ll get this scheduled.
