you should probably find someone to teach you, someone who has more experience in teams. I was also very weak players 4yrs back just found a good guy who was strong and he taught me how to become better.

@Timalina2, if you're serious about improving in 4pc teams, I would suggest working on your regular chess skills first. So much of 4pc is understanding how to create threats, calculate tactics, and evaluate positions. Unless and until you develop these basic chess skills, it will be quite difficult to progress in 4pc teams, a game that requires precision at every move. Once you get to ~1500 chess.com blitz rating, it's all about practice and repetitions to become decent.

If you want to compete against the top players, I would argue that a ~2300+ chess.com blitz rating (took a quick look at the leaderboard) would put you in line with the other top players, but, at the very least, 2000+ would be required.

I fear that your current chess ability (~1000 chess.com blitz) is holding you back and causing you to plateau at 2000 in 4pc teams. I know you may not be inclined to believe me (partly because my ratings are quite low), but I'm pretty confident the top players will agree with me.

I actually think you don't need anyone to teach you anything. Sometimes, the best teacher in life is the man in the mirror. After all, a wise man once said "you have to be good at chess to be good at 4pc ." Perhaps we should let the wisdom of his words guide us in our road to the top. Good luck with the training.
