Any one want to play a sparring match

my idea is that people here can set up sparring matches to practice thier game play, and get better.

Rules,

1. play a pair of games, each player has a different color

2. post a forum here about them so that they can be analysed.

3.play whatever you want

4. have fun

5 keep it clean

6. good luck

Online or live?

Online, I treat it as live though (mainly cuz from when I see the position to the time I move is arround 15-20 seconds, a minute at most)

Forgive my silly question, what is a sparring match?

where you play a game or more to get some practice in?

its not as silly a question as it sounds. I have heard much sillier.

here is one of the games I played against someone here.

With my opening as White I tried to take control of the center, the fianchetto Bishop on my Kingside was imo necessary because this gives a great control over a lot of squares. I had no plan for an attack on the Kingside against jetfighter, as soon as I was one or two pawns up I tried to get immediately into the Endgame.

At move 18 my pawns were weak next to the queen you could have at least got one back there.

6. ... b6 was a mistake by you.

Thank you for your explanation of Sparring match, jetfighter.. I think all my matches are a kind of sparring match. The only different thing is that my opponent doesn't know it. :)

Hey jetfighter, i'd play through a couple games with you if you don't have too many going.   I only like to have around 4-5 games going at once because it gets a little too crazy and I usually don't take the time neccesary to think about each move. But, I'd play some live with you sometime.
