Anyone playing OTB lately?

Seems like everything has been moved online, at least in the PNW of the USA. Have any of you have gotten to play OTB in 2021 yet?

I'm hoping to run something early April and I know some local players going to an OTB tourney in a couple of weeks.

Yes, there is a club in St. Petersburg Florida that is open and is running various types of Tournaments each month. All USCF rated.

I am playing in otb right now. 2 hour time control, my brain is fried. It goes to 11pm tonight and 5 pm tomorrow. I’ll be able to get home at 9 pm tomorrow.

I see nearly 20 OTB regular rated tournaments in California so far in 2021. The San Diego club is running their traditional Gambito on a monthly basis. The largest event so far appears to be a 44 player scholastic.

California is like its own creature when it comes to chess tho 👀 

not here in NY but i wish i havent played otb since i was 14 so 2010 lol

We are doing small OTB events in Utah.   Our 2020 state championship got postponed so we are playing it next weekend.  Wish me luck!

@Martin_Stahl, that is awesome. Which tournament are you planning to run? I'm affiliated with MetroWest CC near Boston; planning to reopen later this year.

We are running OTB club tournaments here in Reno, NV on Thursday and Sunday nights. We need to collect enough money to pay the rent and hopefully still provide some prize money. 

Montgomery, AL, is having a two-day tournament this weekend and a one-day tournament on the 27th.
