Attacking means every (if not every the most) moves of you directed to attack your opponent's weaknesses. Positional means you prefer developing your pieces firstly and wait for opponent's mistakes, play not agressive way, play closed positions.

Agressive means you love to play gambits, go for positional sacrifices, play sharp and open open positions and deal with a big amount of tactics at the same time. Solid means you don't often go for sacrifices and not clear positions, you just play the game you know, you notice all of the traps and give more attension to defence.

Intuitive means beacause of huge amount of practise you can just intuitively feel if this position is good or bad for you, and make moves that you think will make you better without calculating very deeply, just few moves ahead. Calculating means you love to calculate everything, you don't want to miss details, and you want to see clearly what will be there after some amount of moves.

Remaining two are clear without definition.

That's all only my opinion. I just wrote how I understand these words.

Emotional means every game you lost, you broke something and loud?

Mi_Amigo

no... I'm an "emotional assassin" I many a times yell out loud after I lose on time when I was winning.. the recentest one happened when I was in sams tourney yesterday.... beating a 1450.... but I fell short of 20 seconds sad.png

I think I'm an attacking yet solid player. I tend to calculate before I make my moves, but I usually get nervous before crucial matches, such as yesterday's 1-year Diamond Tournament happy.png

Emotional "Assassin" does not exist, you are must be "Barbarian."( http://www.chesspersonality.com/type/barbarian)

"Barbarians do not mess around. They hunt the opponent's king from the beginning to the end of the game. They are attacking players who are willing to accept lots of risk, calculating complications and dangers that make their opponents squirm. Barbarians put their heart into the game - a typical Barbarian might get upset if something goes wrong in a tournament and have a disaster, or, on the other hand, ride an unstoppable wave of success when things go right. Barbarians aren't usually the type to offer draws, and their main goal is to create unusual and complicated situations on the board in which they can out-calculate their opponent."

looks like you?

morrowbord

This is like I tell you I'm SOLID "barbarian", but test shows I'm "Champion"

My chess personality is quite interesting... sometimes I'm a grinder, sometimes I'm a surgeon, sometimes I'm an assassin!
