I'm a failed-artist.

Drew Pekka when I was 10

Drew this 1.5 years ago

One of my favourite drawings, also drawn around same time

And finally CR for my cousin’s birthday. There are still more but cannot find them (some of my friends actually have them bc I gave some of these to them as birthday present)

ye, I guess when they are big, you can see so many large strokes but anyways

Those are good drawings. Captain Crow, Sway Master Barley and Doctor Edgar was drawn well.

I do it as a hobby, just for fun. My brother is an even better artist but even he did not take art as a subject or try to make anything from it!

took like 2h each! But in comparison to the length of my chess games, it is bearable

Damn. It would be an easy score if he took art as a subject than haha. But you still drew very well, better than most people I would say.

Got an award in my school for art for my year, but parents still did not think I should continue with art. I comply way too much (instead did DT or DE which I did not enjoy very much).

Problem is that art exam = longest exam and the actual exam is a couple of hours long. + you have to waffle more in art than you do about quotes in English. Also, when you take art as a subject, EVERYTHING YOU DO, EVERY PIECE OF WORK WHETHER CRAPPY OR NOT GOES TOWARDS YOUR EXAMS

But yes, I'd definitely say I'm better than a lot of people who have taken art as a subject (even one of my friends)

That's terrible. In my school, it's the final exam that counts. I have no talent in art. Mind you, I tried to draw Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh and many told me it looked like a slaughter house due to the colours being mixed up and etc. It was just a messy painting.

I don't actually do much painting. Ironically, that was actually what got me an award (and a little bit of other things) as we were trying to represent movement! LOL, my art teacher was so impressed by my drawings for end of year exams that she gave me it back to keep. But she does keep asking me now when I see her why I didn't go with art

Damn. It's still good that you received an award at least. I got mocked in front of my classmates for the terrible painting.

I'd literally be teaching the class how to draw! I mean in our class nobody gets mocked for bad art because they are all pretty much the same when I see it, like bad perspective and weird shadows, huge strokes rather than small ones...

Drew this today while waiting for a school chess match
