Waaahh...matagal ko nang inaanticipate ito.

Ang tanong. Saang site (chessgames.com or chess.com) they will follow Wesley's game.

Remember they still have NM Glen Bordonada there and Zanshin with his strong engine will still kibitz there. Also Wordfun and dropping one note is gmjoey.

It will be a fight to get Master Iskuba and Bubuli...

Who will draw more crowd? ABS CBN or GMA? hehe mali...

It's more practical here because we can post diagrams complete with the move sequence.

Anyway, if they chose to post there, we can mirror their posts here for proper archiving and easier retrieval. It's difficult for non-premium members to find the analyses in CG because they don't have a search feature.

Hoy mga friends, ayusin nyong mabuti etong tv coverage natin sa games ni Wesley. Yung mga nasa AIC, magdala ng wireless smartbro or glove, kuha pictures at ipaste din dito.

I can't believe we were able to live without this move by move feature in the past.

Wesley's chessgames.com database does not contain a gruenfeld game.

The opening is Slav-Gruenfeld mix, usually employed by GM Bu Xiang Xie and Gata Kamsky, among others. 8.c5 is suspect, 13.Nf4 is a blunder. Black was probably hoping for a draw, exchanging quickly in the center. The IM played poorly if I may say. Wesley's reputation probably preceded this win.

That was a very bad choice of opening for the Viet. I mean, why play slav with c6 only to play c5 several moves later? It seems to me that if he wanted a sharp opening, he should have played a Tarrasch-like scheme with c5 right away thereby saving himself a tempo. Bad preparation.

Meanwhile, Wes was not even doing anything special. He was just playing soundly, developing his pieces on their proper placements. That's a lesson right there. Always play sound moves and the position will take care of itself! Smile

It seems the opponent just disintegrated. =)

oki din iyong advantage dito na pwede mo na kaagad makita iyong laro even without feeding it to the engine. saan mang dako....mabuhay ang BW....
