Attacking position

Yesterday I played an OTB event. Today, while analyzing one of my games, I noticed there was a really nice position that could have arisen if I had played differently. Sadly it's a bit of a moot point, since the way I played just won. However, I think the position is very instructive, and even playing through the analysis and understanding it will help improve your dynamic intuition. Before we get into the position, here's a warm-up exercise:



Now here's the position. Be warned, it is not for the faint of heart or busy! If you actually want to learn from the analysis, I would recommend making sure you have enough time to go through and understand it.
