....when human makes plans, the Universe laughs. The 1st day of the 3rd week will be today, with luck.
avysk's Yusupov intermediate study plan
1. Made moves in daily games.
2. Solved many (50?) puzzles from Chess King "Tactics for beginners" course.
3. Rapid games +2-1=0, rating +4 => 1752
First analysis:
Week 3, day 2.
1. Made moves in daily games
2. Solved 50 puzzles from ChessKing "Tactics for beginners".
3. Played 4 blitz (3+2) games: +1-3=0; rating -16 => 1446.
Forgot to write a report today. So, after a long break, I've successfully restarted week 3, following the plan (though I was not writing daily reports).
Puzzles: even during the break I was solving puzzles every day. I've finished ChessKing's "Tactics for beginners" course, repeating the problems every day until no problems left unsolved (there were about 15 of them which I somehow couldn't get repeatedly). I've started another ChessKing tactics course, a Russian one, with the title like "tactics for the 3rd class chess players" ("3rd class" or "3rd grade" is 1400-1600 ELO, something like that). At chess.com I've reached a rating 2500 in puzzles.
Blitz. Goes very, very bad after the break. I'm blundering all the time. My rating dropped to 1412.
Rapid games. When I have time to think, I play noticeably better, reached a rating of 1800.
Yusupov's book. Went through chapter 3, did the exercises, got 25 points, which is the lower border of "excellent". While doing exercises, I've noticed how much easier for me to see and calculate tactical motifs. I attribute this to the puzzles I was doing.
The real-life problems prevented me from continuing the plan for some days. Week 3, day 1 will be today.
