Okay then. Everyone, I think there was a glitch in the game, my opponent captured my pawn even though I'd passed their piece. Then they just called me en pesant. So rude. Plus what's the deal with stalemate? Clearly that rule is stupid and should be changed... 
On a more serious note, yes. I'm a total newb beginner, still struggling in the 700s.
