In Matthew 9:11-13, a personal remark is made to the Pharisees distinguishing between their intolerant (and unchanging) ways, and the "Jesus way" which insisted on mercy and compassion.

12. But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

13. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

(January 03, 2016) I will reserve this section for a definition of sinner...

I hope you trust me on this one. I was raised "orthodox" and... I believe in religious tolerance (in addition to exceptional individual cases).

Recommended readings:

Isaiah [53:7] He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

I will pause with the above verse. And, post my last comment.

Like an ever-ending cycle: Sacrificing "one" for the sins of many, in hope to bring a greater multitude on the road to salvation. How much longer will theologians apologize on behalf of men, forgiving them as "Christ" did when these were forever punished for their "evil ways".

As time ticks away, I ask you to reflect on the following question: What is "evil"? The mercy for the multitude or the sacrifice of the "one"?
