Blatant Teaming

It should be known to the experienced player that taking opportunities is a part of the game mechanic, however, there is a clear difference between this and blatant teaming. Blatant teaming is unacceptable.

How to report pre-teaming:

null

Forums are for discussion, not for reports.

A hint:

Let's say someone stolen your motorbike. You can write it on forums or facebook. But police will start an investigation only if you report it to police using appropriate way.

Thank you for explaining it to me! I will go through the proper channels.

Reporting in 4 player chess doesn't have any consequence as far as I'm aware. I've reported in several ocassions a guy for stating several times that he will "rape" or "sell for prostitution" other player's relatives (with screenshots as proof) and nothing happened.

I would recommend to keep bringing this type of cases to the forum. Its the only way of knowing when you're playing against cheaters or not.

@Berenjena_Mortal, chess.com investigates all reported cases. I don't know what result did you expect to see and where. For example, if a 4PC is "chat banned", he can play, but cannot use 4PC chat. But how can you determine that someone cannot use the chat if you are not an admin?

I would recommend to keep bringing this type of cases to the forum.

And highly likely those posts will be removed or edited soon, because they contain dirty words and/or publicly shame some player(s).

I get the problems with reporting players for questionable tactics (some teaming isn't as blatant), but the player who regularly insults other players isn't being "shamed", he isn't a victim. Is a fuck*d up guy who enjoy disturbing other people's minds. This is a game but it can't be enjoyed with people like that.

" how can you determine that someone cannot use the chat if you are not an admin?"

I don't get the question. When I report a player and show proof is for the administrators to do something, and I'm acting on behalf of the (proclaimed) rules of this website.

I don't get the question.

I'll rewrite it using different words. Let's say you report a player. And chess.com support workers chat ban him. The questions is: How do you know that he is chatbanned now or not chatbanned?

The only way is to play with that particular player again and see that he can still use chat. Right?

Ok, me bad.

Thanks

@johnbrady9656, yes, you are right. We call it preteaming (or pre-teaming).

Usually a scenario will go as follows: Will start a game with me 1525 or so and a bunch of scrubs 1100-1200s. They will notice early in the game that I know how to play it and am a threat (maybe this is part of the strategy tho and perhaps I should play like trash or simply ho hum until a transition state in the game is reached and I can drop one of them out of no where making all of them less threatening "together"). They will agree to team me and it doesn't matter how good you are there is usually little you can do once they have made this staunch decision. I agree with the above however, if there is a point leader then the remaining two should work together to neutralize said player and this usually occurs at the higher level without the discussion of this in chat (so long as there is no bad blood between the two with less points from earlier quarrels). Also, my moped was stolen a long time ago and the police did not do jack or Jill, as is common, so sometimes making something known and bringing awareness in a community is in actuality the more beneficial thing to all.
