I agree... we can all read better in a thread than in the notes.
I have a question... Have any new teams sign up for season 2 yet?
I think it will be important to know before we decide about how many divisions to have.

I think it's early to say if we have some new teams willing to participate or not... first of all we need to let everybody know, for example in WL group, about some provisional results and that LCWL is taking place now...
Agreed with Andriy.. It's too early.... Since it is going to be in 9 rounds, Perhaps once 6 rounds are completed, starting from Round 7 we can think of the divisions and the status of the teams and etc.
Hi again, so personally I would be willing to coordinate graphics and communication, the latter may have many branches, so please understand I'm only starting to break down a complex task into simpler ones ( I do have more elaborate ideas about this, but please understand at the moment I'm only trying to draft this out in the common interest).
a) In order to start can we confirm?
Thomas (@ThomasJEvans) - tables and pairings
Koloso ( @Koloso598 ) and Fedebau ( @FedeBau) - Spanish language
Adriano ( @adriano81 ) - Russian language
...for the moment?
b) Somebody must be in charge of the forum as well, as has been noted. This part is very important, things/informations must be in the right place, especially if we are addressing new teams. I think robert's experience (and resolve) would be precious there.
c) 'Technical part', who is going to interface with Assistance in case of issues? (It simply can't be everybody or nobody on each occasion). Anybody feels they could do that? Dale?
d) Next there is the scouting of new teams. This could be divided in areas, maybe along linguistic lines, so then we would have the Spanish area, I think and probably a Russian area etcetera... Can we get names here?
e) League stardadisation, starting from the format of the strings used for matches, up to rule terminology. I think this could be of importance in perspective, in order for example to interface with a site that reads and shows league results (same as for WL, but probably could be even better).
I think anybody with ideas about how to improve should speak out and volunteer...
I know @robert8867 has done work with the forum before, so he should be a candidate to continue on with that?
As for recruitment, I presume that one person for each region/language is good?
As for showing league results, I'm not sure if it will be able to keep up with the playoff matches as well? While the spreadsheet suffices, a system that automatically keeps track of multi-team accounts and also account closures is preferable (less work for admins). There's still no harm in looking for one/asking.
Thank you, Adriano!
I think we can now start erm stepping this up.
Please understand this is only a rough draft, but for the moment we may have:
Tables and Pairing: Thomas (@ThomasJEvans - TD - UK)
General Manager (forums?): Robert (@robert8867 - Iran)
Graphics and Communication Coordination (?): Bumiputra (@bumiputra - Italy), and maybe Vladon (@Vladon80 - Argentina) and Sepehri (@Sepehri - Iran - he is not in HQ at the moment)
Spanish language: Koloso ( @Koloso598 - Spain ) and Fedebau ( @FedeBau - Argentina)
Russian language: Adriano ( @adriano81 - Ukraine)
Portuguese language: Fedebau ( @FedeBau - Argentina)
The names I chose for 'positions' and also the 'short names' I chose are only tentative.
The next step - once we have a reasonably complete list - would be to publish this in the forum, maybe together with the representative list. So everyone will know who to ask about each problem/issue arising.
- Format standardization
- Social media. I was thinking of someone who will publish weekly pairings, maybe results on the whatsapp group once Thomas publishes them in the main group - krypton (@krypton00 - Kazakhstan) created the whatsapp group so maybe he may consider getting involved in this? - ... next perhaps erm facebook?)
- Technical problems
- Scouting and/or recruiting (new teams), tutoring
- Friendlies and side events
- Integration with Daily Leagues
- Chess.com (contents/news/...)
- Other languages?
(to be continued...)
It could be nice idea to create group on facebook for example and publish results there advertising more and more people to get involved in Live Chess World League
Hi and a big welcome to everyone
I found it better if we discuss here rather than notes
Easier to track everyone's opinion
