flawI
I don't play, I'm waiting for the fix
@AurelWu It's a bug. And it's a new bug; I have never seen that before in the years I've played. I just played a game now and it gave me full vision (!?) -- that's a bug too. Hopefully chess.com fixes it soon.
Thought already, would be a new feature, but glad that it's a bug and gets fixed.
Although would be a nice new variant called "memory chess".
I just played a game and the problem seems to be fixed. I noticed that at the start of the game the opponent's pieces are visible, but once the first move is played the fog appears.
Alright well there are still issues. Just played a game where I could not queen. It would not let me push my pawn to the 8th rank. Cost me the game.
There appears to still be a bug in the recent version, since it is possible to sometimes see a short glimpse of an opposite piece as it is when it is in front of one's own pawn, although in this variant pawns obviously should not "see" what the piece in front of them is, although that they should "see" that there is something in that square. This has happened three times for me today and or yesterday.
I never played Fog of War before, but according to the rules and intuitively I think I should not be able to see the origin and destination tiles of a piece when it is moved in the Fog, however those tiles are distinct visually in the games I played. So I wonder if that is intentional, if that is a bug which occurs always, or is there something strange going on for me.
Best Regards!
