Battle of Castles preset doesn't load in preset loader in custom variant editor because of pawn home rank set to 14 (normally it can be up to 12).
How to reproduce:
1.Open Variants page, Most Popular and then select Custom
2.Select Edit Rules, Presets, 2 Player
3.Select Edit Position, and choose Battle of Castles from PRESETS
4.The Battle of Castles position won't load

Battle of Castles doesn't seem to work anymore.
Perhaps(just a guess but) it is because they removed the fancy font, and it doesn't register as the same variant...
Why is the batch archive not working?
I wanted to write an application today to add my next new chess variant to the list of variants, but when I went to the archive, there were no games played there, and 10 games need to be specified in the application. I changed the archive settings, but it didn't show anything! For the sake of experiment, I played several games of chess variants today, but none of them were displayed in the archive. I changed the settings again, but nothing was displayed. But at the same time, when I played, my rating changed. But then why is none of the games I played listed in the archive!?
And at the same time, not one of the games was interrupted.
there is a problem in the 4 player server when it says "connecting" and impossible to play a game
everything acts like it as programmed by a well trained chimp. this entire site is buggy, it's easier to list the things that DONT bug out:
regular chess in a ten minute format.
if anybody has anything definately not buggy to add, go ahead.
its been down for SEVEN HOURS, white knight, which is why lichess.

That's an arena-style tournament. There's multiple games going on in there that have started, and you can join in and play that variant too if you want. The number is just how many people are in the arena at that point.

Completely false… is that practical for large arenas?
Idk if this is the right place for this but I don't know where else to post.
It's getting old losing games (chaturaji in this case) and at times massive rating points because the server boots me. I've dropped almost 200 points a couple weeks ago because that happened three games in a row. Today it's started happening again. I've had to slowly climb back up time and again. Can anything be done about this?
