i was playing 3check and would take my first move but it would not let me move and the game was aborted
I have the same experience with Crazyhouse. I make my first move, but my clock keeps running and then it aborts me with a message that I didn't move fast enough.
Was playing fog of war. I would place my piece, but it wouldn't register. The piece was on a different square, but my time just kept running until the 20sec mark when I would be penalized for aborting. This resulted in loss of rating points and I ended up getting a 19 minute ban.
When the servers go down, points should not be awarded to anyone. Check out this game I played or didn't because the servers stopped everybody from moving. It's just like russian roulette as to who wins, no skill. https://www.chess.com/variants/4-player-chess/game/45523693/35/3
There are a lot of problems in 4P giveaway. Yesterday I made move but timer was still working and game was aborted for few times one by one. Today I just can't beat a piece so time was ended
for some reason my account is stuck in a permanent game that i can't access, and i'm not sure why this was caused or how to replicate it. i get stuck loading forever after clicking invite/play, and others cannot accept my challenges because it tells them i'm already in a game. if you try to spectate that game, it says it's starting and to try again later. this has been an issue for a day now, and because of it i cannot join any games on the variant server (chess.com/play/online works fine)

100% if the server goes down and you spend literally minutes refreshing the page waiting for it to come back, then the game should be cancelled and no points deducted/awarded to either side. It's frustrating but not that big of a deal, because you can play a few more games and get your rating back

Please link the game you are referring to. That will help the admins access the bug much more easily.

Since yesterday, it's affecting ALL games. Spectating games still works for me. I have also tried clearing cookies, refreshing, logging back in.

same problem here, but I think its a connection problem
in check you can't move a piece other than the king couldn't make that move it was mate

Same as above, my first moves in giveaway show the piece moving but my timer doesn't stop. After 20 seconds I am timed out and lose point for forfeiting.
