I feel like I keep disconnecting more than the old one, is there anything I can to do to reduce the number of times I disconnect??

Several errors in the new version:

1) On some occasions I can't castle. I do a King Indian defence trying to castle in the fourth move, but the castle is not in the available moves for the king. It happens two or three times after the upgrade of the new version. However, the other players can castle without problems.

2) Right now I can't play, I click on "Play" button, but no reaction.

I briefly saw 4PC teams self-partnering, now I can't see it any more. I want to play it that way. I hate being fitted up by poor partners, that's why I gave up bridge years ago and went back to chess.

Playing anything at all is a problem now. Plus getting fog-of-war as 4PC seems to totally dominate the Variants board. I went to watch a FOW game and couldn't get into it. Plus the position never seemed to change when I hovered over, nor the game list. So I guess something is stuck?

Cannot play Chess4. Click on the "Play!" button but nothing happens.

I closed the browser and log in again. Same result.

Please review.

And what exactly is your job here? To blindly echo the vocal minority who think that complaining loudly will force the admin team to cater to their varied demands?

I played on the 4PC server for five years, and spent the last two tracking the popularity of the game, and the numbers in the playerbase. In the last 24 hours, I've seen higher concurrent numbers online playing 4PC and associated variants than we'd hit on many weekly peaks before now. I'd be willing to bet that within the next week, there will be more people playing variants (in any form), than any of the associated gamemodes (giveaway, 4PC, atomic, etc.) ever had individually. We will exceed those counts handily, repeatedly, and consistently. Consolidation increases popularity, and even though the whiners will stubbornly point out every reason that they're prohibiting themselves from joining in the fun, that won't stop new players from discovering a love of the game.

You seem new around here, so I'll take it easy on you. Just think for a moment. There are 1000s of people who have given 4PC and variants a try on the new server. I've only heard complaints from at most 50 of them so far. Don't just jump on the bandwagon, and certainly don't take it out on the devs, coders, and people who, at this very moment, are working to fix bugs, restore games, insure ratings, and make the game something that it never could have been before.

also all other UI elements are discombobulated - overlapping and in wrong places.

but on safari i can see it in the right place..

Terrible; you can't see any other challengers if they don't have their game options set identical to your own.

In the old set-up, we could see ALL of the game offers and choose the one we liked; as it is now, you don't know if anyone else is seeing your game because they probably haven't set the rules the same as you. 

This is simply a terrible "upgrade".

Just tell me how to get 4PC so I can see the FFA and able create a game challenge with pawn promote QRBN and HAVE SOME CONFIDENCE THAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN SEE IT?

Reporting severe lag. Played 4 Teams SP... and the sever just refused to register my moves. I lost so much time. Some moves were registered quickly, but a lot of the moves would take like 10 seconds or more to register, so my piece moves... but my clock was still ticking down, and the opponent would still think it was my move. I timed-out in 3 out of the 4 games. In one of the games my opponent timed out.

I had a similar problem with Chrome. Tried a different browser (Edge) and it works.

Only half of the presets are visible at normal zoom, and you can't scroll down. The only way to see the rest of the presets is to zoom out to 50% zoom

The same thing happens with saved templates and "Mix & match" rules. Although for Mix & match it's not a big issue since no buttons are actually hidden, it just looks ugly because the bottom of the popup goes beyond the bottom of the screen.

You can scroll the entire modal, but you need to have your cursor inside the modal. Will change it to scroll the modal content only instead of the whole modal, so it's not cut off.

@fallout-shelter Please, share a screenshot of the messed up UI, so we can see.

with 2 windows open when I join a game on one it doesn't remove open challenges

Is there a way to view challenges for all variants at once,

and maybe filter by rules;

because when I want to play 4 player chess and fog of war but also both or a variant with those rules I have to have 4 tabs open
