Bug Reports

In the updated new version:

a) there are very annoying points (showing possible moves), impossible to remove,

b) the zombie king is not shown as previously,

c) there is no more specific sound when it's YOUR move.

Guys, why on Earth are you changing something that works well?

in spell chess, if you attempt to freze a players piece that is checking your king, and then castle (your not really castling out of check as spells block checks.) the game frezes.

in this game my opponent attempts to freze my checking queen and then castle, but a popup came in the top right hand of the screen, saying "illegal move" and then MY time was going down, it is unknown who would have lost as he resigned though.

I'm noticing some weird visual effects in variants in the web browser today. Pieces are all more grayed out than usual. More concerningly, in the game of Fog of War I played, the squares where my opponent's pieces were starting/going were sometimes highlighting in yellow, despite being deep in fog! E.g., I could see their first move highlighted, g2-g3.

When show coordinates is on, the coordinates are actually hidden. The opposite happens when coordinates is off. Also, please add 'Use FoW background image.' Also add the archer using the latin letter thorn or Þ

• The pieces being more grey is an intentional change, whether it stays or not we'll have to see
• Moving a variant to another category is extremely difficult since we'd likely need to design a logo for it and as of right now copying ratings is also not easy.

As for the other issues, they're either simple QoL issues or obvious server issues. @qilp and @Goondrious are working on it and many of them will have a fix within a day or two.

In addition: you cannot see who ate what anymore. The eaten pieces are not shown.

I don't like it It looks too much like a dead piece and is too confusing

Fourway chess is glitching something awful.

Whenever someone forfeits, until their king is mated the game shows double moves by sever other players.

Another bug: i cant promote pieces when playing on my phone

Fog of War has been broken for the last 48 hours or so. You can now see a highlight (and sometimes the piece) that has been moved and the resultant square. The fog of war variant should only show visible pieces/squares

This is happening randomly in 4PC:

@PALLASam I have the exact same problem. If you try to tap and slide a piece, it ends up moving other pieces and cancelling a legal move. Yesterday I played this Spell Chess game:

On moves 4 and 5 I tried to move the queen to h5 on the phone, but it was unfair and somehow wanted me to play unusually.

I don't know. I happened to have power-point on my screen and my computer froze when i tried to close the tab. I at the moment had a duck icon selected. the computer froze and i took a screen shot.

The worst update of variant chess!!!

Description: error of scores and pieces in one of my games and even in analysis

Error 1: zombie chess piece

Like the picture why the piece of blue when giving up turns into a zombie (all pieces)

Error 2: The score displayed quickly on the screen is very strange

Sometimes I take my opponent's king and the quick score display says I got 3 points even though in my real score I got an extra 20 lol
